Training Calendar

Class Information

Classes will start at 8AM and conclude at 4:30PM. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided. All PPE, tools, and training materials will be provided. Personal laptops are welcome but not required. Dress is casual.

Cancellation

Cancellation fees will apply, per Emerson guidelines: If your plans or budgets change, you may cancel your reservations up to 14 calendar days prior to the start of the course without incurring a cancellation charge. Limited enrollment makes it necessary to charge 50% of the full tuition for cancellations received during the 14 days prior to the start of the course, and full tuition for failure to attend without canceling. Substitutions are accepted until the first day of class. Minimum class size is 6 students; if less than 6 students are enrolled in a class 30 days prior to start date, Emerson reserves the right to cancel the class, no charge to the students.

February 4th – 6th, Tues-Thurs: Control Valve Engineering I • Beaumont TX

o Course 1300L: This course is for engineers, technicians and others responsible for the selection, sizing, and application of control valves, actuators and control valve instrumentation. Topics include valve sizing for liquids and gases, control valve selection, actuator sizing, and instrument specification. The agenda for this class will be distributed with this schedule.

March 31st – April 2nd, Tues-Thurs: Valve Maintenance with FIELDVUE DVC • Beaumont TX

o Course 1451L: This introductory course is for valve mechanics, maintenance personnel, instrument technicians, and others who are responsible for maintaining control valves, actuators and control valve instrumentation. Topics include pneumatic actuator mounting and action, pneumatic instrument principles, basic positioner operation, basic DVC6200 operation, configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting. The agenda for this class will be distributed with this schedule.

May 19th – 21st, Tues-Thurs: Valve Trim and Body Maintenance (formerly Valve Technician I) • Beaumont TX

o Course 1400L: This introductory course is for valve mechanics, maintenance personnel, instrument technicians, and others who are responsible for maintaining control valves, actuators and control valve instrumentation. Topics include control valve and actuator specification, component identification, and common repair and maintenance practices, such as packing changes, trim lapping, and trim replacement. The agenda for this class will be distributed with this schedule.

July 14th – 16th, Tues-Thurs: Control Valve Engineering I • Beaumont TX

o Course 1300L: This course is for engineers, technicians and others responsible for the selection, sizing, and application of control valves, actuators and control valve instrumentation.
